De Shaun joined the One Caribbean Television team in July 2022.
His roots stem from the Twin island Republic of Trinidad and Tobago. Living near the beach in ToBago triggered his interest in meteorology. In 2015, he moved to NYC and kicked off his college studies at the Borough of Manhattan Community College, where De Shaun was heavily involved in community projects and volunteering before graduating with Associate Degree in Liberal Arts in 2017.
In August of 2018, he continued his education, studying Atmospheric Science journey at Stony Brook University. De Shaun participated in a variety of clubs like the Meteorology Club, Marine Science Club, Actors Conservatory, Sessions of Hope and the Statesman. Additionally, he gained social media internships with the Statesman and an overseas meteorologist.
Besides school, De Shaun enjoys the outdoors and hanging out with friends and family. Hiking, nature photography and swimming are three of his favorite outdoor activities. As a foodie, he is very passionate about exploring different food options and restaurants.
