One Caribbean Television Looks Ahead to Hurricane Season in Special Program

This year’s Atlantic Hurricane season is one to watch carefully.  After last year’s record-breaking season, forecasters say conditions are favorable for another above-average season of potentially dangerous tropical weather.

One Caribbean Television presents a comprehensive look ahead with a special “Hurricane Ready 2021” premiering May 16. 

One Caribbean examines efforts to prepare and FEMA’s hurricane recovery programs.  A team of weather specialists will have a roundtable discussion looking ahead to the season including the effect of the La Niña weather pattern.

In 2020, a record thirty named storms raked the Atlantic including category 5 Hurricane Iota.  This year, NOAA is producing earlier hurricane guidance in May.  The traditional hurricane season begins June 1.
