Breezes Bahamas honored by the Government of The Bahamas for its help in the fight against the COVID-19 Pandemic

Breezes Resort was recognized for housing patients during the pandemic who were either under quarantine orders or suspected of exposure to the virus causing COVID-19. In addition to providing quarantine facilities, Breezes Bahamas converted its East Wing room block into a hospital treating non-COVID-19 patients.

NASSAU, The Bahamas, Aug. 2, 2022 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ — Breezes Bahamas was honored by The Government of The Bahamas for going above and beyond the call of duty during the COVID pandemic, at a ceremony commencing the 49th Anniversary of The Bahamas' Independence.

Breezes was honored with multiple awards and certificates of appreciation for their outstanding efforts, exemplary service, hard work and commitment to excellence in the fight against the COVID-19 Pandemic.

Breezes' management team and the various departments within the hotel (kitchen, housekeeping, engineering, front office, laundry and sanitation) were also singled out for their contributions and were recognized for being committed to assisting the Government, and the people of The Bahamas. Breezes housed patients who were either being quarantined or suspected to have COVID-19 during the pandemic. In addition to being a quarantine facility Breezes converted the East Wing of the hotel to a hospital for non-Covid patients.

Muna Issa received the awards on behalf of Breezes from Her Excellency Leslia Miller-Brice (Ambassador to CARICOM and Chair of the Independence Secretariat), Hon. Wayne Monroe (Minister of National Security) and Hon. Glynys Hanna-Martin (Minister of Education and Technical and Vocational Training).
