Music Diplomacy: State Dept. Announces New Global Music Ambassadors to Promote Peace, Democracy
WASHINGTON, D.C. – It’s not unusual for a Department Secretary to be in the spotlight, but America’s top diplomat, State Dept. Secretary Antony Blinken, is putting the spotlight on a relatively new initiative last year: combining music and diplomacy. It’s part of the department’s Global Music Diplomacy Initiative which aims to promote peace and democracy through music. Recently, they announced a wave of celebrities as part of their music ambassadors to help spread this message.

Invest Puerto Rico Shows Investors, Companies From Around the Globe That PR is More Than a Tourist Destination
For ten years, the U.S. Department of Commerce has hosted the SelectUSA Investment Summit. The 2024 Investment Summit recently wrapped up just outside the nation’s capital. Business leaders and economic development organizations from Puerto Rico attended this year with the goal of bringing more investors and companies to the island.
NWS: “Hyperactive” Hurricane Season, Tracking Hurricane Beryl
SAN JUAN, PUERTO RICO – We are tracking Hurricane Beryl as it’s making it’s way through the Caribbean. The storm poses a threat to places like Jamaica and the Cayman Islands. Beryl could also impact Texas and Louisiana later this week. Meteorologists with the National Weather Service (NWS) is predicting this hurricane season will be one of the worst ones we’ve seen in the past few years.
