One Caribbean Television Presents ‘Hurricane Ready 2020’

A giant plume of Saharan dust has effectively put this year’s hurricane season on pause.  However, residents of the Caribbean can use the opportunity to prepare.  Earlier this season, forecasters predicted a busy hurricane season, which continues through November.

One Caribbean Television (OCTV) presents “Hurricane Ready 2020” to help residents better understand and deal with dangerous tropical weather.

OCTV’s weather specialists interview experts from Colorado State University, NOAA and FEMA to learn about what to expect this year.

Experts say it is crucial to prepare now regardless of the hurricane outlook.  With the COVID-19 pandemic, find out what to add to your hurricane preparedness list.

Tropical Storm Arthur formed near the Bahamas before this year’s season even began.  Last year, there were 18 named storms including three major hurricanes.  Two of them, Dorian and Lorenzo reached Category 5 status and Humberto was a Category 3 storm.

“Hurricane Ready 2020” features One Caribbean Television’s forecasters in a roundtable discussion about how to prepare and what to expect.
